Evopreg® EPT prepregs are designed for manufacturing high performance composite tooling. They are based on in-house formulated epoxy resin systems which provide a range of cure temperatures, easy lay-up, excellent surface finish and mould durability.
Evopreg® EPT epoxy tooling prepregs can be supplied with a wide range of reinforcements and fabric constructions including carbon, glass and ampliTex™ flax. They are best consolidated in an autoclave.
Evopreg® EPT110 tooling prepregs are based on a toughened epoxy resin system, formulated specifically for low temperature initial cure, high temperature performance after post-cure and excellent surface finish.
Evopreg® EPT120 epoxy tooling prepregs are designed to help composite tooling manufacturers improve the flexibility and efficiency of their tooling manufacturing processes, by offering a cost-effective system that combines extended outlife with variable curing cycles.
Evopreg® ampliTex™ hybrid tooling uses layers of natural flax fibre, in place of carbon fibre, to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental impact of composite tooling. The majority of bulking plies in a conventional 1-8-1 carbon tooling lay-up can be replaced, whilst maintaining excellent surface finish and dimensional stability. Evopreg® ampliTex™ is a collaboration with Bcomp.
